Anyone who has done a cross-country trip will probably agree that a main component in its success or failure was one’s travel companions. A good auto buddy will be able to roll with the punches of the road, adapting his or her energy to fit with the current activity. With this criterion in mind, I put forth this proclamation:
Whereas my dog was intrepid on the trail in Hoosier National Forest in Indiana,
Whereas he was fearless on the overlook at Artists Point in Colorado National Monument,
Whereas he was cautious of the flooded road at Milford State Park in Kansas,
Whereas he was instinctual while hiking at Echo Lake in Colorado,
Whereas he was self-controlled toward prey at Echo Lake in Colorado,
Whereas he was assertive atop a boulder at Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah,
Whereas he was impatient as he headed for St. Mary’s Glacier in Colorado,
Whereas he was patient as he waited at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada,
Whereas he was contemplative during sunset at Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah,
Whereas he was content to camp at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada,
Whereas he was relaxed during lunch in Faust County Park outside St. Louis,
Whereas he was exhausted after a long day at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada,
Let it be known that I nominate my dog Sage as the best car pal ever – even better than Charley.
Dear Kim! Your dog is adorable!! Great blog, I love it!
